I think you all know that I've been hoping to go on a trip to Brasil this fall. It seems like God has been working things out miraculously (you've probably all heard about the Tea Seed Peanut Butter glass)!
I just talked to Bro. Rose last week. He's the one organizing the trip, and he's the one with connections. He just had surgery, and that coupled with the price increase on just about everything is making him reconsider the feasibility of the trip.
So... it's back in the Lord's hands! I know He is providing the funds for a reason! |

OK... Mother bought this Peanut Butter glass at a thrift store for $0.25. She knew it was worth at least $5-10, so she brought it home to sell for my Brasil fund.
Within probably half an hour of our listing it on eBay, we had received a message from a member asking us to end the auction and sell it for $300 right away. Mother said that she didn't have a good feeling about that, so I told him that we appreciated the offer, but would rather let the auction run it's course.
The auction was to end Saturday. Friday night, another eBayer contacted me with a question about the glass. He also told me that he and his wife were Christians, and were excited about what the money was going toward- and that he was planning to bid on Saturday.
He did, and in spite of a last-minute snipe of about $300, he won! If you'd like to see the final sale price of the glass, look here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130242466251 (link is only good for 90 days after the auction).
There were quite a few people praying for this! |
